Nerfs for all

I’m so sick of hearing them go back and forth on the DPS subject and what spec Hunter’s should be in. I’ve almost always spec’d SV because I enjoy the playstyle, although I’ve tried MM as well. SV is nice now because they buffed ES and took away some of the liabilities from the AoE effect it had. No longer do I have to worry about breaking a CC, and I can finally see some nice big crit ‘s from ES to justify the spec.
It’s not OP’d, IMO. I still can’t beat out other DPS in most situations. In heroics, I generally fall between 2-4 on the meter, but there’s never any consistancy. I’ve been 2nd behind a Pally tank who was first in a Heroic on the dmg meter. I’ve -never- seen that before until WotLK.
Yet now they say MM is where they want to draw the DPS line. So now that most raiding hunters are SV for PvE, they wanna nerf SV and change it up again. Oye…
/facepalm
I think I’ll finish leveling my Warrior and just leave it at that. -Common sense is not so common -Voltaire

Quote:You are a dps class. You should be up there with mages, locks and rogues… all things being equal. Things are rarely equal. A very talented and well-geared Retadin or Boomkin might beat you. Even though we can disagree on which hunter spec is the easiest to play, the class as a whole is not easy to play, at least not at the expert level.
But I suspect what you are really getting at is that certain classes are doing more damage than you consistently. We know. Those classes know it too and they can probably guess what is about to happen. Then there will be many posts like this from them.
This is part of a reply in the Damage Dealer forums. He insinuates that MM dps is about where they want pure DPS class numbers to be.
