I'm in Shimmering Flats, doing those grinding quests as they also have the added benefit of levelling skinning. I see a rare elite basilisk wandering about, a level 37 beast known as Ironeye the Invincible. I haven't ever been able to tackle an elite that high of level compared to me (33 at the time), but I try. I get him nearly halfway dead before he kills my pet and almost kills me. As I'm licking my wounds, I send a tell in general for help. Another 33 rogue shows up. First attempt, he nearly kills my pet and in a desperate grab for survival, I distracting shot, mend pet, and try to disengage. It doesn't work, the elite kills me. Rogue vanishes. Second attempt, I spam mend pet as soon a...

That size thing does suck, Went to get a lvl 49 boar from Blasted Lands and he was massive before I got him. Tamed the sucker and my 5 year old son went "daddy, you got a baby one" He was small as crap, but still kicked butt!

Here's my thoughts on Hunter 2v2. Now I don't know if this is widely regarded as fact, but this has been my experience.
Hunters need a dual DPS team. Why? Because that's the only way that hunters can fight a melee + healer team. They need to burn one down quick. Even with the post-patch buffs, a hunter cannot utilize his max DPS if he has someone in his face, bashing away.
You can say "kite him noob," but it's next to impossible to kite melee if they have a pocket healer. Simply put, you're not doing 100 of your damage while kiting a melee class.
Hunters are particularly noted for their burst damage. Thus with another DPS class by their side, they can pretty much just focus fire and deal massive amounts of damage to a single target. MS warriors are even better for this, as the dual MS debuff makes it particularly easy to focus fire someone.
Now it's been my personal experience that I work well with a Warlock buddy of mine. We have immense CC against healer/DPS teams. (fearbombs + traps) He is SL/SL...

Me. Cookie cutter BM, except without IAotH. I haven't respecced since I dropped Mama's Insurance, which had a 1.59 modded shot speed. Faster than that wouldn't have meant anything.
Almost blued out, too. Really need new shoulders, and a better weapon.

I believe that mod is outdated with the new shot mechanics, but it will still give you an idea of what's going on.
1.7 is the speed you want to hit when quick shots procs. This allows for 200ms of lag, and with zero haste is a 2.7 speed weapon for a BM hunter. A 2.8 speed weapon needs 55 haste to get to the same point. Exotic pets fail if you don't have Go for the throat. Only go for it if you aren't raiding and just want one for the way they look.
Here's my highest-testing build.
I tested with and without Invig. It's a little underwhelming with 6688 mana, so I only keep 1 point into it for now.

No longer do I have to worry about breaking a CC, and I can finally see some nice big crit 's from ES to justify the spec.
It's not OP'd, IMO. I still can't beat out other DPS in most situations. In heroics, I generally fall between 2-4 on the meter, bu...
